About

Chiara smiles at the camera while sitting comfortably on the floor of a theatre, while two people laugh behind her and the director, Sophie, looks at them.

Hi, I'm Chiara

i am Italian, bisexual and polyamorous

(the last one's cause Excel sheets are my calling)

My pronouns are she/they. I come from Milan, I have lived in London for the last five years and I'm currently in Avignon, France, turning the "city of popes" into a queer hotspot.

I created this (rainbow) online counselling practice to offer dedicated support to individuals and families around the world, in English or Italian. As a queer polyamorous woman, I have a special focus on helping young people within the LGBT+ community.

Upholding and empowering people is one of my favourite things to do, which is why I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in applied drama & education and got my level 3 counselling qualification.

I am a facilitator and theatre-maker for my company, Homing Bird Theatre, and for PSYCHEdelight. During the last 7 years, I have worked with communities of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, people with disabilities, women's groups and vulnerable young people, using theatre as a platform for self-expression and activism.

My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, drawing from my diverse background in counselling, drama therapy, and pedagogy. I value individuals' unique identities, desires and needs and focus on enabling change and improvement in their lives through a combination of goal-setting and meaningful discussion.

My role, as a counsellor, is to open doors and empower my clients with the confidence and motivation needed to get through them; formulating new ways of behaving, feeling, and thinking.
